Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing Warehouse
Location: Tucker Door and Trim – Albany, GA
Reports To: Facility Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:
Tucker Door and Trim is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at our Albany, GA facility. This position is key to keeping our equipment and warehouse running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter, highly organized, and comfortable communicating with internal teams and external vendors. This is not a role limited to preventative maintenance—this position focuses on diagnosing and solving problems quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, with a strong focus on electrical systems.

• Communicate with equipment service departments over the phone to resolve technical issues.

• Send and respond to emails professionally regarding maintenance updates and vendor coordination.

• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance room including tools, parts, and documentation.

• Perform basic warehouse maintenance including:

  • Greasing dock doors

  • Repairing/replacing exhaust fans

  • Changing light bulbs

  • Fixing warehouse pallet racking

  • Etc.

• Coordinate repairs with outside vendors (e.g., roofers, electricians, plumbers, dock leveler techs).

• Follow company policy: no personal tools allowed on site. All tools and equipment will be provided by Tucker Door and Trim.

• Take initiative to learn and improve on the job—this role requires problem-solving.

• Understanding of pneumatic systems is a plus.

• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, especially electrical systems.

• Comfortable working with vendors and service techs over the phone.

• Clear and professional written communication, especially via email.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with paperwork, tools, and inventory.

• Self-starter with a proactive attitude—able to take ownership of maintenance issues.

• Willingness to handle a wide variety of facility maintenance tasks.

• Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders is a bonus.
